No matter what people want to believe, Edward really did love her and throughout his life wanted to give her what he had attained so easily, he was born with a golden spoon in his mouth and Wallis had had to fight so hard for everything. He doted on spoiling her and was loyal to her to the end. They should have been allowed to live in Britain but the Royal family were afraid of him as he was so popular and much loved. He was NOT a Nazi but a socialist and did not agree with the terms of the Versailles Treaty.
