The script depends entirely too much on a succession of reporters, announcers, and spectators to provide context and detail in clunky, implausible dialogue. show more
It’s too blandly acted and directed to make much of an impact. show more
"When the Game” is like a bad seven-layer salad: it's tempting in theory, but it's really just a jumble of random ingredients that wind up supremely unappetizing in the aggregate. show more
This is one of the best family movies that has been out for a long time! Cant wait to purchase it.
Fabulous take on a true story. Every coach should insist that his team see this movie. Great for gals (a bit of a tear-jerker). Great for guys (lots of football action). A must-see for families with kids from 12 up.
I loved this movie. It was full of real life inspiration!!! Life's ups and down's. I felt right there in the game, right there in his marriage and the scene with the boy and his father- epic. This movie is not only inspiring it is based on boys and men who gave their time and talent to help each other, stand by each other, play a game and share each others life's. This movie was worth seeing and buying the DVD to watch over and over again. The actors did a great job!! To all the people this movie is based on- Thank you for showing your community that indeed we are stronger as a team. God Bless each and every one of you!!5 stars!!
