"You've reached the Ghostbusters. Thor speaking."

The answer to the question "Who ya gonna call?" is now Chris Hemsworth. The actor has signed onto Paul Feig's all-female "Ghostbusters" reboot as the agency's receptionist. The director announced the news on Twitter:

Hemsworth will appear alongside new ghostbusters Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones. Variety reports that Hemsworth initially passed on the role because it was too small. The script was reworked to beef up the part, after which the "Thor" and "Avengers" star came on board.

The Australian actor has made a career out of playing action heroes, but seems to be turning toward comedy. His March hosting gig on "Saturday Night Live" was well-received, and he next appears in July's "Vacation" reboot.

Filming on the new "Ghostbusters" begins later this summer, with the movie due in theaters July 22, 2016.
