"Dance your cares away, worry's for another day, let the music play ... down at "Fraggle Rock"!

Great news for '80s kids -- HBO is bringing back the beloved children's series. Deadline reports that the premium cable network will air a digitally remastered HD version of "Fraggle Rock" by the end of this year.

The Jim Henson-created show, which ran from 1983 to 1987, centered on a colorful cast of puppet characters who lived in an underground cave world. Their neighbors were the industrious green Doozers and furry farmers the Gorgs. Every episode featured original songs of different genres, and explored themes like friendship, diversity, and the environment.

"In remastering the series, illuminate has created a contemporary look for the series with meticulous attention paid to every detail -- sharpening the images, cleaning up the contrast, increasing the vibrancy of the colors and re-formatting for wide-screen -- all under the careful supervision of Brian Henson," Richard Goldsmith, EVP of Global Distribution for The Jim Henson Company said in a statement. "We'll engage a whole new audience who will love meeting the Fraggles, Gorgs, and Doozers."

Look for "Fraggle Rock" on all of HBO's broadcast channels as well as HBO Go and HBO Now.
