CMT and Hulu rescued "Nashville" from cancellation over the summer, and now with the show's premiere on its new home comes the launch of a live social media aftershow.

CMT unveiled plans for "Nashchat," Deadline reports, which will debut on Facebook Live on Jan. 5 via the network's Facebook Page. Each episode of the companion series will be filmed in a Nashville living room and hosted by country radio personality Amy Brown. The first will come immediately following the two-hour Season 5 premiere.

"Nashchat" will help fans feed their show addiction by offering original music, recaps from "Nashville" insiders and fans alike, and cast and crew interviews. Chris Carmack, who plays Will Lexington, will kick things off in the first show. The drama series' stars include Connie Britton, Hayden Panettiere, Clare Bowen, Charles Esten, Jonathan Jackson, Sam Palladio, and sisters Maisy and Lennon Stella, so we could see any of them in future weeks.

The aftershow is just part of CMT's social media strategy. In addition to the Facebook Live chat, the network will post behind-the-scenes photos and clips on Instagram, Instagram Live, Snapchat, and Twitter. Followers will also get to see fan content, participate in games and contests, and check out the latest memes, promos, and more. That opens doors for a whole lot of obsessing.

Let's see if a bigger "Nashville" social presence means a bigger audience. The drama series returns Jan. 5 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
