Everybody's favorite magical umbrella-toting nanny is coming back, but not everyone is happy about it.

While Disney was sharing its biggest news at the D23 Expo on Saturday, the studio gave fans a look at Emily Blunt as the new Mary Poppins. The initial reveal came via a short teaser for "Mary Poppins Returns" that was screened for attendees. Disney then tweeted a motion poster featuring Blunt, which opened up the door for a all kinds of reactions.

Blunt is taking on a role originally played by Julie Andrews in the original "Mary Poppins," and those are some big shoes to fill. There was a sizeable contingent on Twitter that was very irritated to see Blunt step in as the beloved nanny.

It may help that the upcoming film isn't a remake; instead, movie lovers will see grown-up versions of the Banks children encounter the new Mary Poppins. She shows up to help out after a family tragedy.

We'll see if Blunt can change angry fans' minds when "Mary Poppins Returns" arrives at Christmas 2018.
