Jennifer Lawrence loves reality TV, but that's definitely not something she shares with her boyfriend, "mother!" director Darren Aronofsky. In fact, he finds it "vastly disappointing." Too bad, bro!

Aronofsky is a 48-year-old Harvard grad and father of one child with ex Rachel Weisz. Lawrence is a 26-year-old actress who loves watching the Kardashians on a loop while eating gumdrops. Somehow it works.

Lawrence covers the new September issue of Vogue, and she opened up about dating her director, after the film wrapped. '"We had energy," Lawrence said, then added drily, "I had energy for him. I don't know how he felt about me."

She talked a bit about their culture clash:

"I normally don't like Harvard people, because they can't go two minutes without mentioning that they went to Harvard...He's not like that." Lawrence said Aronofsky is "not a snobby Harvard man" but he does hate when she watches reality TV. "He just finds it so vastly disappointing," she told Vogue, with a laugh.

Apparently Lawrence had the "mother!" crew set up a "Kardashian tent" for her to decompress after scenes. "It was a tent that had pictures of the Kardashians and Keeping Up with the Kardashians playing on a loop — and gumballs. My happy place." Aronofsky shared his reaction: "I wasn't involved in that. I was like, 'What are you talking about, 'the Kardashians?'"

She needed that happy place after some intense "mother!" scenes. "I had to go to a darker place than I've ever been in my life. . . . I didn't know if I'd be able to come out OK." One moment left Lawrence hyperventilating with a dislocated a rib. "I ended up getting on oxygen," she told Vogue. "I have oxygen tubes in my nostrils, and Darren's like, 'It was out of focus; we've got to do it again.' And I was just like, 'Go f*ck yourself.'" Ah, l'amour!

On a more positive level, Lawrence -- who previously dated Nicholas Hoult and Chris Martin -- said of Aronofsky, "I've been in relationships before where I am just confused. And I'm never confused with him." She also called him an "amazing father" and said after watching "mother!" "I was reminded all over again how brilliant he is. For the past year, I've been dealing with him as just a human."

"Mother!" opens September 15. Check out the full trailer.
