The 77th annual Peabody Awards are acknowledging family sitcoms, psychedelic superhero thrillers, dystopian nightmares, and the final frontier among its nominees.

The jurors for the awards, which honor the most powerful, enlightening, and invigorating stories in television, radio, and online media, selected 60 nominees this year. Among them, in the entertainment category, are Hulu's Emmy winner "The Handmaid's Tale," HBO's satirical news program "Last Week Tonight With John Oliver," and the critically acclaimed Netflix revival comedy "One Day at a Time."

Also joining them on the list of television nominees are FX's "X-Men"-related "Legion," the CBS All-Access prequel "Star Trek: Discovery," and Amazon's period dramedy "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel."

The Peabody ceremony will be held in May, but the entertainment winners will be revealed April 19.
