"Fear what's forbidden."

That's the caption for the latest "American Horror Story: Apocalypse" teaser.

Traditionally, if we're honest with each other, the creative teasers are often the best thing about AHS. However, the upcoming Season 8 is special. It's the long-awaited crossover season between Season 1's "Murder House" and the bewitching "Coven." So many stars are returning, including the one who matters most -- Jessica Lange.

So our expectation is that "Apocalypse" will live up to the hype.

It had better.

The first teaser came out last week, and it was as creepy as one might expect for a season following Michael the Antichrist baby from "Murder House." He's all grown up now, and we'll be watching him in action this year.

The latest mini tease focuses on a fig that you would not want to eat:

Commenting fans shared theories/reactions:

• THE FIG IS THE FRUIT FROM THE TREE OF KNOWLEDGE THAT ENDS UP KICKING ADAM AND EVE OUT OF THE GARDEN OF EDEN. MAYBE THIS MEANS SOMETHING BECAUSE THE ANTICHRIST IS FROM THE BIBLE AS WELL AS THE FIG. SOMEONE PAY ATTENTION TO THIS. THE DESCRIPTION ALSO SAYS “fear what’s forbidden “

• Ok I think the scorpions represent two different sides good and evil the question is which one this is ahs so it wouldn't surprise me if black is good and white/gold was evil.

• They keep doing visuals of a hand slicing.. is this a reference to hotel with The Countess

• Well I’m glad I don’t eat figs because I will certainly never eat one now.

• Anyone else notice how similar the fig being cut open is to people getting their throat slit by the countess??? And we know the countess has been to the house before and we know Queenie is in the hotel maybe a certain witch will be able to figure out or feel that Queenie's in the hotel cause either by checking her last were about were a hotel near by or other means and if the contact Queenie maybe she will help out the witches if it is Ghosts vs Witches by telling them how to defeat them seeing as she now is a ghost but would still be loyal to her witch sisters

• Has anyone played the audio backwards? They're definitely saying something.

Have you played the audio backwards? If so, share with the class.

In case you missed it, another intriguing mini teaser played last week between the first one and this one:

"AHS: Apocalypse" premieres September 12 on FX.
