Two sequels to "Crazy Rich Asians" are coming, but we're going to have to wait for them.

Speaking to Deadline, producers Nina Jacobson said Brad Simpson said that, mostly due to availability of the in-demand cast and crew, the sequels to the mega-hit will be shot back-to-back.

Director Jon M. Chu is currently working on the feature adaptation of Lin-Manuel Miranda's Tony Award winner "In the Heights," which means the "Crazy Rich Asians" sequels will likely be shot in 2020.

They'll be based on, of course, Kevin Kwan's next two novels in his Crazy Rich Asians trilogy, "China Rich Girlfriend" and "Rich People Problems."

Jacobson knows it's rough to make fans wait, but promises: "We’ll make it up to them on the back end by shooting two films together."
