Brittany Snow in the Pitch Perfect series

Universal Pictures

"Sisters" is coming to America. A remake of the Australian series is in the works at Fox, and Brittany Snow is set to star in the pilot, Deadline reports.

Still untitled, the project is based on the Endemol Shine Australia series by Jonathan Gavin and Imogen Banks. Writer Annie Weisman is penning the pilot, and it, too, will center on a woman named Julia (Snow), who finds out that her dying father, a fertility doctor, used his own sperm to inseminate patients. In the midst of scandal, she tries to adjust to her many newfound siblings, particularly her two sisters. In the original series (which currently streams on Netflix), the situation is even more awkward than you might expect.

Snow has been in recent years with the popular "Pitch Perfect" series. She has also had a number of TV roles in the past; notably, she starred for three years in the NBC drama series "American Dreams" in the early 2000s. The actress has also appeared on shows like "Harry's Law," "Full Circle," and "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend."

Leslye Headland will direct the upcoming pilot, as well as executive produce alongside Weisman, Banks, True Jack's Jason Katims and Jeni Mulein, and Sharon Levy. Universal TV will produce in association with Endemol Shine North America.
