There's another new Ariel in town.

Last month, Disney cast Halle Bailey to play the mermaid princess in a live-action remake of "The Little Mermaid." Now, ABC (a corporate sibling) has found its own star for its live musical special.

Auli'i Cravalho, who was the voice of "Moana," will star as the rebellious daughter of King Triton who longs to live on dry land.

ABC also announced that Queen Latifah will play villain Ursula, while Shaggy will be Ariel's crustacean friend, Sebastian.

The musical event will feature intricate sets and costumes, with music from the original animated film and Tony-winning Broadway stage version.

The production was originally slated for October 2017, but was delayed for reworking.

"Little Mermaid" will air Tuesday, November 5, at 8 p.m. as part of The Wonderful World of Disney franchise.
