Daniel D. Lopez Biography

Daniel D. Lopez is an American indie film director, writer, and actor, best known for his work on "Max Payne: Perdition," the most awarded Max Payne fan film ever made. A native New Yorker, he was raised in a close knit, Catholic, all-American household, an upbringing he greatly cherishes. As a child, he was described as being intensely inquisitive, polite, and highly communicative, reading and writing at a much higher level than others his age.

His passion for knowledge was coupled with a talent for storytelling and mimicry: he was able to quickly learn accents and behaviors and did so mainly to entertain his family. "Max Payne: Perdition" is his first feature film, where he served as writer, director, lead actor, editor, and so on. The film received praise for its introspective exploration of the protagonist's trauma and high production value.

Daniel was most proud of his voice impersonation of the late James McCaffrey (Max Payne's voice actor), which not only won the Oniros "Best Voice Over" award but was also hailed by fans as perhaps the closest to McCaffrey's iconic voice. Aside from filmmaking, Daniel is an English teacher and holds a summa cum laude Bachelor of Arts in International Politics.

His family-oriented upbringing and Christian views both greatly influence the paths he walks and the projects he undertakes. - IMDb mini biography by: Daniel D. Lopez
