Ed MacArthur Biography

Ed MacArthur (Musical Comedy Awards Finalist 2021) is an actor, comedian and musician. He co-wrote and starred in the smash-hit String V Spitta ('ingenious' ***** The Independent, *****Daily Mail, ****Evening Standard, ****The Guardian, **** Chortle) with Kiell Smith-Bynoe. After three sellout runs at Soho Theatre and Edinburgh Festival, the BBC have commissioned a pilot.

Ed appears regularly on The Now Show for BBC Radio 4, two albums on Spotify and Apple Music. TV credits include Liam in Dreamland (Sky, Merman), John in Things You Should Have Done (BBC, Roughcut), Anthony Gilmarsh in Bad Education (BBC, Tiger Aspect), Mamil in Five Blind Dates (Amazon Film), Brad in The Emily Atack Show (ITV2, Monkey Kingdom) and Gideon in Maneater (BBC, John Pocock).

He also stars in Jamie Demetriou's Netflix Special. Solo shows at the Fringe include cult-hits Ed MacArthur: Humoresque, and Stack ('madcap energy, intuitive comic timing and whip-smart script' Fest).
