Petra Biondina Volpe Biography
Petra Biondina Volpe is a Swiss writer and director. She studied cinema at the Film Academy Konrad Wolf in Potsdam Babelsberg, Germany. She lives in New York and has an office in Berlin. Her feature film The Divine Order was selected as the Swiss entry for Best Foreign Language Film at the 90th Academy Awards. The film premiered internationally at the Tribeca Film Festival, where it won three awards, including the Audience Award.
Her debut film, Dreamland, was nominated for four Swiss Film Awards. She also wrote the screenplay for Heidi (2015), the most internationally successful Swiss film of all time.
