Remo Vinzens

Remo Vinzens
From Zürich, Switzerland

Remo Vinzens Biography

In 2008, Remo found himself in negotiations for the role of the Camerlengo in Ron Howards movie, Angels & Demons, showcasing his growing reputation in the industry. The following year, legendary actor and director filmmaker Clint Eastwood expressed interest in Remo Vinzens playing the role of François Pienaar in a Nelson Mandela movie, Invictus. However, ultimately the part went to Matt Damon.

In 2012, Remo and his talent management joined forces to establish the "Swiss Acting Institute". An acting studio for international working actors and independent theatre productions, staged internationally. He opened the acting studio with "Long Days Journey Into Night", followed by "Shakespeare's Best" in 2013 and Chekhov's "Ivanov" in 2014. While opportunities with renowned filmmakers such as Steven Spielberg for the film Lincoln emerged in late 2012, scheduling conflicts and production delays prevented Remo's involvement in the project.

In 2015 Remo starred at the first SAI Members Event in "The Glasmenagerie" written by Tennessee Williams and in 2016 he read Charles Dickens "A Christmas Carol." In 2019, Remo collaborated on the movie Free Trip to Egypt, which premiered at the AMC Empire in New York on May 31st and is still in negotiations for Vivaldi. In 2020, like many others, Remo faced challenges as the pandemic led to the cancellation of stage plays and movie projects until summer 2022, putting a temporary halt to his creative pursuits.

Looking ahead, Remo has an exciting lineup of projects scheduled for 2023/24, including performances in Gogol's "The Government Inspector," Shakespeare's "The Tragedy of Julius Caesar," and "Frank and Sam." He is also set to star in the movie The Curse of the Silver Chain, where he will portray the title character, Jeff and in Michelangelo: The Early Life.

Nowadays Remo shuttles between Europe and the United States. He partly lives in Zurich with his wife and his three daughters.
