Tim Wooster Biography

Timothy Nicholas Wooster (born January 26, 1967) is a cinematographer and camera specialist. Born in Westminster, London, England, he built his career working on both major studio productions and innovative visual projects. A member of the Guild of British Camera Technicians (GBCT), Wooster has contributed his camera expertise to a wide range of films since the mid-1980s.

Wooster’s early work includes involvement in the cult sci-fi film Lifeforce (1985). He subsequently worked in underwater and second-unit cinematography on high-profile blockbusters, including The World Is Not Enough (1999), Cold Mountain (2003), and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005). In 2004, Wooster served as second unit camera operator on the visually ambitious Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, and later took on similar roles in Wanted (2008) and 1408 (2007).

He expanded his portfolio by shooting principal cinematography on the indie thriller U Want Me 2 Kill Him? (2013) and other independent features. Wooster has also worked as director of photography on second units for several major studio films, including Free Guy (2021), the underwater sequences of A Quiet Place: Day One (2024), Deadpool & Wolverine (2024), and The Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025).
