Annie is a 1982 American musical comedy-drama film adapted from the Broadway musical of the same name by Charles Strouse, Martin Charnin and Thomas Meehan, which in turn is based on Little Orphan Annie, the 1924 comic strip by Harold Gray. Annie: A Royal Adventure! is a TV sequel, released in the United States in 1995 and internationally in 1996. With no songs apart from a reprise of "Tomorrow", the sequel features an entirely new cast.
