Bob Saget Isn't Mad at the Olsens for Skipping 'Fuller House'
"Full House" fans were disappointed when Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen announced that they would not return for upcoming Netflix spinoff series "Fuller House," but one star of the show says he doesn't blame the former actresses for their decision.
"They're not doing it and I'm just happy that they're happy," Saget told E!. "I want my friends to do what they want to do...They have a whole different creative life now."
That creative life includes their uber-successful fashion brand, The Row, and fragrance line, Elizabeth and James. The Olsens cited their immersion in the fashion industry as the reason why they had decided to give up on acting -- and they apparently weren't going to change their mind, even for their former television family.
But while Michelle Tanner's Uncle Jesse initially had some harsh words for the twins (he's since come around), Saget didn't share that sentiment at all. As he explained to E!, he's still close with the sisters, and plans on visiting them during an upcoming trip to New York City.
"I love them," Saget told the site, in a touching moment that could have been cut straight from a classic "Full House" episode. (Cue a chorus of "Awwww"s and some cheesy background music.)
Just about everyone else from "Full House" will be back for "Fuller," including John Stamos, Lori Loughlin, Dave Coulier, Candace Cameron Bure, Jodi Sweetin, and Andrea Barber. The show is set to premiere on Netflix sometime in 2016.
