When you're starring in the next Christopher Nolan and playing the new Batman, you don't have time for much else. Robert Pattinson will no longer be able to co-star in Joanna Hogg’s "The Souvenir" sequel due to scheduling conflicts, IndieWire reports.

Pattinson also had to pass on "The Souvenir," which won the Sundance Grand Jury Prize, but planned to be in the sequel instead.

"Despite Rob's strong desire to do the film, scheduling proved impossible but he very much looks forward to working with Joanna on something down the line,” a representative for the actor told IndieWire.

"The Souvenir," which opened in limited release in May, stars Honor Swinton Byrne (daughter of Tilda Swinton, who costars) as a shy but ambitious film student who falls into an intense relationship with a charismatic but untrustworthy older man.

Swinton Byrne's breakout role has invited comparisons to Vicky Krieps in "Phantom Thread." Pattinson would have played her love interest in the sequel.

Production on Hogg’s film is slated to begin this month in Norfolk, which obviously clashes with against Christopher Nolan’s "Tenet," which started filming last month.

After that and Matt Reeves's "The Batman," he's attached to reteam with his "High Life" director Claire Denis in "The Stars at Noon."  Not to mention working with his "The Rover" director David Michôd on Netflix movie "The King," an  ambitious mash-up of several Shakespeare plays.

And the actor will probably also have to take time to promote his Cannes hit "The Lighthouse," which opens later this year. Whew!
