The long-awaited reunion of "Dawson's Creek" cast members finally took place, but there were two key people missing: the actors who played Dawson Leery's parents, Mary-Margaret Humes and John Wesley Shipp.

Entertainment Weekly orchestrated the reunion to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the show. There were some stunning photos and interesting revelations (James Van Der Beek is Team Pacey, Katherine Heigl almost played Jen).

The reunion brought together Van Der Beek, Katie Holmes (Joey), Michelle Williams (Jen), Joshua Jackson (Pacey), Mary Beth Peil (Grams), Kerr Smith (Jack), Meredith Monroe (And) and Busy Philipps (Audrey). But Humes and Shipp never got an invite — and they aren't happy about it.

"Okay, so let me get this off my chest as the initial hurt has subsided just a bit," Hume wrote in a message on Instagram.

She continued, "This was their choice ... not ours ... it was done behind our backs and we both were literally blindsided by it when we woke up yesterday in NYC and LA ... we both did a short telephone interview after the fact but were never told about the reunion."

Shipp, meanwhile, posted an image from the reunion with himself and Humes Photoshopped in.

Hume has been sharing many behind-the-scenes photos from her time on the show and said that even though the oversight stings, she will keep doing it.

"I will continue to post because yes, I have so much more to share," she wrote. "For the portion of our family that did appear in these photos...congratulations...you look great and I love you...I only wish I had been given the opportunity to have said it to your faces. Such a shame."
