Whenever there's a "Doctor Who" regeneration, fans have to adapt to the change, but the show has already moved on.

A new "Doctor Who" Season 11 trailer came out on Sept. 20, and it drives home the fact that a new Doctor is in and it's time for everyone to get on board. It especially seems to send a message to the people who were upset to see the show's first female Doctor in Jodie Whittaker. Not only does the actress specifically remind everyone that she's the Doctor, there's a scene that shows exactly what that means.

The scene in question involves the companions and Doctor Who trying to figure out what to do. A man questions why they're asking her, and Ryan Sinclair (Tosin Cole) tells him that she's in charge.

"Says who?" the man asks.

"Says us!" all of her companions respond in unison.

See what we mean? The man could represent Whittaker's naysayers, while the companions seem to be speaking on behalf of the actress, the show, and her supporters. Message received.

Season 11 has a lot of action and time-travel adventure for us. Whittaker stars alongside Cole, Bradley Walsh, and Mandip Gill.

"Doctor Who" Season 11 premieres Sunday, Oct. 7 on BBC America.
