Josh Radnor will soon be explaining "How I Met Meredith Grey."

The star of "How I Met Your Mother" and NBC's musical drama "Rise" will begin a guest starring stint this Thursday on "Grey's Anatomy" as a potential love interest for Ellen Pompeo's lead character, according to People.

In People's exclusive sneak peek clip, Meredith stuns her friends when they discover she's dressed up to meet a blind date.

It's unclear how many episodes Radnor will appear in.

Showrunner Krista Vernoff has previously discussed throwing Meredith into the world of dating, now that it's been some time since she lost husband Derek Shepherd.

“It’s hard, and everybody has to do it, so it’s very human and very relatable," she told TVLine.

"I was really interested in seeing someone as beautiful and smart and funny and complex as Meredith actually have to put herself out there."

Radnor most recently starred in last year's short-lived musical drama "Rise." Previously, he played Ted Mosby for nine seasons on CBS' "How I Met Your Mother."

"Grey's Anatomy" airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
