A cheer squad's members are all seniors in the upcoming comedy "Poms" -- but they're certainly not in high school.

STX recently dropped the official trailer, and it features Diane Keaton as Martha, a newcomer to a retirement community. When her new neighbor Sheryl (Jacki Weaver) learns that she was a cheerleader back in the day, she encourages Martha to pick up her pom-poms and start a squad. With other retirees on board, they decide to enter a competition where they'll face decades-younger rivals. To get ready, the enlist the help of a young choreographer (Alisha Boe).

The film is described as an "uplifting comedy," and there are several funny moments in the trailer. When a snarky competitor tells the women to "break a hip," for example, Sheryl retorts, "Get pregnant." Watch below.

The film is directed by Zara Hayes from a script by Shane Atkinson. It also stars Phyllis Somerville, Charlie Tahan, Bruce McGill, Rhea Perlman, and Celia Weston.

"Poms" opens May 10.
