Damn, can RDJ be our new BFF?

Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark/Iron Man) and Chris Evans (Steve Rogers/Captain America) sparred in "Captain America: Civil War," but in real life the two Marvel stars are good buddies. They will both be back in "Avengers 4" next year, but they've also both heavily hinted to leaving the MCU behind after that film.

So maybe this was a parting gift?

This Thursday's Aug. 30 episode of "Jay Leno's Garage" will follow Chris Evans learning how to stunt drive the swanky 1967 Camaro he got as a gift this past year from RDJ.

In the clip below from "Jay Leno's Garage," Jay talks to Dave Salvaggio from SpeedKore Performance about RDJ designing the car -- which has its own Captain America logo on the steering wheel.

Jay asked Dave if Chris was surprised by the gift.

"Yeah, they did the third 'Avengers' movie ['Infinity War'], that came out. Robert had it shipped to Atlanta where they were filming and gave it to Chris as a gift on set."

Awww.

Chris wasn't really a car guy, per se, Dave said, but he loved the Camaro -- and loved the "melted Army man green" color, which was picked by RDJ with Cap in mind. Dave said Chris drives the car a few times a week on the East Coast, so maybe fans should keep an eye out for him in Massachusetts.

Jay Leno said he really liked Chris Evans, who brought out some of his old buddies from back home for the stunt driving part of the episode.

Watch Chris learn to stunt drive "and do an epic burnout in his car" on "Jay Leno's Garage," airing Thursday, August 30th at 10 p.m. on CNBC.

In the meantime, check out how much money RDJ and Chris Evans made in the past year from their Marvel success. They could buy all of us Camaros and have cash to spare!
