After sharing some brief teasers, Hulu finally gifted fans with an official trailer for "11.22.63," an original series based on the truly fantastic novel by Stephen King. When Uncle Steve is good, he's REALLY good!

James Franco plays high school English teacher Jake Epping, who travels back in time to the title's historically pivotal date to try and prevent the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. The task is not an easy one, for several reasons, including the past's strong resistance to change.

The eight-part event series premieres on Hulu on Presidents Day, February 15, 2016. As you can see in the trailer below, co-stars include Chris Cooper, Josh Duhamel, T.R. Knight, Cherry Jones, Sarah Gadon, Lucy Fry, George MacKay, and Daniel Webber.

You may have seen Stephen King's set photo from this past summer, with star James Franco and one of King's fellow executive producers, J.J. Abrams. Yep, that J.J. Abrams. Director Kevin Macdonald ("Last King of Scotland") also directed and executive produced the first two hours. This thing has "quality" written all over it, so expectations are high.

If you haven't read the book yet, you have some time to catch up before the series starts. It's worth it.
