Taron Egerton is going from The Golden Circle to this truly fabulous gold lamé jacket and winged shoes.

It was revealed last year that Egerton would replace Tom Hardy as Elton John in the biopic "Rocketman."

Now Paramount has shared the first photo from the film, showing Egerton's transformation into the music icon:

Now that is a look. Seems pretty on point for '70s Elton John, from here. Thoughts?

Paramount is describing "Rocketman" as "an epic musical fantasy about the uncensored human story of Sir Elton John’s breakthrough years."

Also, the trailer is apparently coming Monday:

According to THR, the film reportedly follows Elton John (born Reginald Kenneth Dwight) "from his years at the Royal Academy of Music through his international breakthrough during the ’72-’73 era of 'Honky Chateau' and 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.'"

"Rocketman" -- which gets its title from EJ's massive hit "Rocket Man" -- is being directed by Dexter Fletcher, who previously directed Egerton in "Eddie the Eagle." The film also stars Jamie Bell, Gemma Jones, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Richard Madden.

"Rocketman" will open in theaters on May 31, 2019. So it's not gonna be a long long time. Heh.

Meanwhile, Egerton also has the "Robin Hood" movie coming out November 21st. (Reaction to the trailer was not kind.)

And it was just announced that "Kingsman 3" will be coming to theaters November 8, 2019. Filming reportedly starts January in the U.K.
