Jacqueline, a 40-year-old divorcee with an adorable son, loving fiance and beautiful home has an almost perfect life, apart from her rather imperfect extra three stone. Lisa, a 27-year-old born again Essex virgin, has decided on separate bedrooms until her wedding night but is now dreading her hubby-to-be seeing her love handles. Katrina, a 25-year-old Welsh WAG in-waiting, must fight her carb addiction and binge drinking so she can face her fiancé on the big day. All three brides-to-be have no idea that Gillian will have them competing against each other for the wedding dress of their dreams - and diet dictator McKeith is determined to make sure that their big day will involve a smaller dress.

Sassy Samantha had potential to be a star, but her ambitions for glitz and glamour have been gobbled up by her love of wine and chunks of cheese. In recent years she's ballooned from a petite size 12 to a generous 18. Competing with Sam for the dress of her dreams is 28-year-old Ngozi from North London, a binge eater who packs away loaves of bread and packets of cookies. Rather then looking forward to her big day, Ngozi is dreading it. Finally, Deborah is approaching her big four O as well as her big day and is five stone overweight. She is a comfort eater whose sugar cravings really take the biscuit. Deborah has opted for a sunshine wedding in Florida, but with her wedding dress fit to burst at the seams, she knows she'll look more Miami vice than virtue if she doesn't lose weight.

Natasha from Essex has already called her wedding off once on account of her weight. Weighing in at over fifteen and a half stone, Natasha knows that her big day won't be perfect unless she's a lot smaller. Competing with Natasha for the dress of her dreams is Julie May, from Surrey. Julie is a whopping nineteen stone and morbidly obese. Julie and her fiancé want to start a family but are worried this won't be a possibility if she doesn't get her weight and health under control. Last but by no means least is Buckinghamshire's Lee Hamilton. At over thirteen stone Lee sometimes drinks over sixty units a week. She's determined to lose weight before her fiancé returns home from Iraq.
