  • Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams give two of the most explosive and emotionally naked performances you will see anywhere. Just know you're in for a workout. show more

  • Here's one vote for the most affecting, anguishing, revealing and prophetic scene of the movie year-and yes, it's all of those things at once in a powerful film that alternates between moments of earlier happiness and later pain. show more

  • There's a loose, vérité vibe here, and times when both Williams and Gosling root down deep to deliver something resonant and true. But this modern-day kitchen sink drama is ultimately too painful, too labored, to care much about at all. show more

This is an excellent but heart wrenching movie. very well acted by both Ryan Gosling an Michelle Williams. the story of found and lost love is so true to life. Their relationship started out so beautifully but just wasn\'t meant to be.

Such an excellent movie that takes someone who appreciates realism in cenema to apprciate. Both charactrs were loving, angry and sad, all at diffrent times as wll as at the same tim in diffrnt parts. Although both had thir moments of sincr hope, their lies were going nowhre and wr hopeful, thir livs wr going nowhere. Story and characters so realistic that I can understand why many iewers were uncomfortable.

A carefully rendered portrait of messy, imperfect people in search of perfecting love and the disappointment that inevitably results. As candid and agonizing as Scenes from a Marriage. Gosling and Williams are terrific.
