Plot Summary
After falling into a lengthy coma following a freak accident involving hip gyration, a now aged Elvis Presley (Bruce Campbell) wakes up in an East Texas nursing home, where he befriends Jack (Ossie Davis), an African-American senior who claims to be President John F. Kennedy. After residents of their quiet retirement community start dying of dubiously unnatural causes, Elvis and Jack discover that the perpetrator is Bubba Ho-Tep (Bob Ivy), an Egyptian mummy with murderous intentions.

  • A zinger-filled crowd-pleaser that open-minded Elvis fans (but by no means all) will have fun with. show more

  • Endearing and vulgar in about the right proportion. The movie doesn't exactly work, but sometimes when a car won't start, it's still fun to look at the little honey gleaming in the driveway. show more

    an amazing confluence of elvis, jfk and an ancient soul ******* mummy facing off in a nursing home is the basis for this incredibly engaging tale. bruce campbell and ossie davis show their outrageous acting chops in a movie that defines over-the-top entertainment. a must see for anyone ********** in bizarre epics.
