    Mick LaSalle San Francisco Chronicle

It's monumentally coarse and vulgar, aimed at the mentality of a 14-year-old locked inside his father's liquor cabinet, and nothing about it is funny, least of all Adam Sandler. show more

    Claudia Puig USA Today

That's My Boy is puerile, mean-spirited and charmless. show more

Joe Neumaier New York Daily News

As awful as most of That's My Boy is, it's sort of mesmerizing to see how Sandler - in a script credited to David Caspe - keeps his touchstones in place. show more

    The Hollywood Reporter

With enough wedding-related shenanigans to pull in the date crowd, the guffaw-to-gag ratio remains relatively respectable, though there's nothing here that hasn't been attempted many times over. show more

No matter how much good-hearted licentiousness follows in the rest of the movie, the opening sequence brings a unshakable sourness to the whole affair. show more

    Kyle Smith New York Post

That's My Boy is pretty raunchy, and by "pretty," I mean "amazingly," as in Howard Stern- or Seth MacFarlane-style gags. show more

    Boston Globe

Sadly, That's My Boy relies on caricatures, rather than characters, to make you laugh. show more

    Nick Schager Slant Magazine

That's My Boy lazily exists in a fantasyland of Adam Sandler's perpetual adolescence, even as it generates some moderate comic friction from Sandler and Andy Samberg's testy back-and-forth. show more

    Joe Williams St. Louis Post-Dispatch

In matters of personal taste, there is no right or wrong, so if erasing brain cells is your idea of a good time, That's My Boy could be your cup of turpentine. show more

    Rene Rodriguez Miami Herald

That's My Boy more than lives up to its R-rating - including one gross-out gag repulsive enough to make you put down your popcorn. show more

This one was super funny. Very trashy but in an awesome way. Fans of Adam Sandler won\'t be disappointed, I promise.

I would rate this on the less-appealing side of the Sandler library of comedies. There were definitely a couple of laughs but Sandler is literally phoning this one in and it is obvious.
