Maybe we don\'t like looking at ourselves. I enjoyed the movie because it made me feel uncomfortable. This film was made in 2006 before national politics became as weird as it is today. No mention was made of foreign wars, or dangerous debt, but the idea of a stolen election seems eminently real and what people might do to protect that secret at least possible. The film does morph from light-hearted to serious/dangerous for the characters so it does seem like three mini-stories tied together. Perhaps that explains its lukewarm popularity.
