  • Don't fault Thirlby, who does as much as she can with the material. Krasinski is pretty good, and DeWitt and Ennenga are outstanding. The direction is decent, and the film is handsome. But it's finally frustrating, enigmatic in a way that suggests emptiness more than mystery. show more

  • It's a naive example of the transformative powers of a 23-year-old let loose amongst the dullards. Whoa. show more

  • A film in which everyone is lusting after the wrong person, and consummating those desires tends to lead to awkward - but not funny, unlike Dunham's usual projects - disasters of various scales. show more

What a horrible movie. I hated all of the characters. Are we supposed to think that all LA residents and New Yorkers are so cool and above us that they can fornicate on screen and we will stand up and applaud? Young artsy type gets in from New York and lodges in a communal type house to get help on the sound for her art move (bugs). Before she even gets out of the airport parking lot she almost has sex. Goes to communal house works a little on the move, fornicates with man of the house, and fornicates with his assistant pisses off the wife of the house and the daughter who has the hots for the assistant. Little wifey finds out about fornication, tells man of the house to get rid of little miss fornicator. She leaves. I don’t know who green lit this piece of tripe but they should be summarily execute
