  • I never rooted for them as a couple, never felt a chemistry in their bond. And in a romance, even one with tragic notes, that really is the end of the world. show more

  • Sweet and serious as it is, the second chunk of Seeking a Friend is the lesser of the two - and hard to reconcile with the more acidic comic outlook in the film's first half. The obvious movie referent is Lars von Trier's "Melancholia," a much nastier film in a much lovelier wrapping: This one lacks an eight-minute Wagner montage. show more

  • This is a romantic comedy for people who don't like rom-coms. There's no chance of a happy ending, but its tender mercies speak volumes. show more

Interesting love story wrapped around an end-of-the-world theme. I think the biggest problem people will have with this is going into it thinking it is a comedy (because of Carell\'s presence). Go in with an open mind.

I really liked this movie! Carell was amazing. Knightley gave, I believe one of her best. I was suprised. Well thought out and written. The study of characters and situations is really good. Bittersweet story line. Highly recommend.
