Interesting love story wrapped around an end-of-the-world theme. I think the biggest problem people will have with this is going into it thinking it is a comedy (because of Carell's presence). Go in with an open mind.
One of the greatest love stories of all time.
I really liked this movie! Carell was amazing. Knightley gave, I believe one of her best. I was suprised. Well thought out and written. The study of characters and situations is really good. Bittersweet story line. Highly recommend.
This guy sucks as an actor in movies and in tv shows I wish they would just stop airing all of his work including the stoopidest show I have ever watched in fact I think it made my iq drop a couple of points, The Office is the lame show, now about this movie come on this guy can't act!
A very enjoyable film with a deep message. Surprizingly Heatfelt and Thoughtful. You should see this movie.

After a sharp and promising start, she (Ms. Scafaria) allows the movie to collapse into a mild, lump-in-the-throat romantic comedy that is not made significantly more urgent or interesting by the prospect of global calamity. Full Review

Sweet and serious as it is, the second chunk of Seeking a Friend is the lesser of the two - and hard to reconcile with the more acidic comic outlook in the film's first half. The obvious movie referent is Lars von Trier's "Melancholia," a much nastier film in a much lovelier wrapping: This one lacks an eight-minute Wagner montage. Full Review

A strange little movie. Unsure whether it wants to be a quirky, sad-eyed indie pixie or a brassy, raunchy broad, it veers uneasily between the two, never quite settling into a comfortable or recognizable groove. Full Review

Scafaria's movie never catches fire. The bad news: The end of the world comes with a whimper. Worse: And two wimps. Full Review
