  • A big, bruisingly funny moral fable etched in acid and Obama disillusion. show more

  • There is no point in discounting smart, engrossing entertainment like The Ides of March, though it's hard not to notice when a film that could have been great falls short. show more

  • Political scandals are standard movie fare, and this one, which hinges on sex and power, doesn't offer a new take. But that's the point: The all-too-familiar blend of hubris and lust for power makes the machinations no less poisonous and perhaps more regrettable for their sad predictability. show more

Loved it, although not a big Clooney fan. Story line, acting, musical background were great. I thought it was one of the best pictures of the year.

Leave it to Hollywood to slip jabs at how bad Republicans while making a movie about Democrats acting badly. Otherwise, a pretty good movie. I don\'t get the \"Best Actor\" talk about Clooney. He was a supporting character at best. Gosling was the star and did a very recdible acting job. Worth renting, but, don\'t buy it.

I thought the movie was so true to life and could fit almost any candidate anymore but I don\'t see why George Clooney was the award for this. The real star of this movie was Ryan Glosing for sure. Clooney really wan\'t even in it all that muich.
