After the delicious treat of 2011's "The Muppets," with Jason Segel and Amy Adams joining Kermit, Miss Piggy and the gang, Muppets Most Wanted feels like tasteless leftovers. show more

    Peter Hartlaub San Francisco Chronicle

Children in the audience may not be thrilled at the highbrow humor and lack of pointless action, but tough luck. Life is more than "Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked" and "The Smurfs" sequels. show more

A breezy, mirthful caper enlivened by the comic talents of Ricky Gervais, Ty Burrell and Tina Fey. show more

Joe Neumaier New York Daily News

This time the movie really is — as the old theme song promises — sensational, celebrational and Muppetational. show more

    Todd McCarthy The Hollywood Reporter

The repetitive storyline about successive heists during a Muppets European tour grows tiresome and the fun is intermittent. show more

The new globetrotting, caper-packed romp with Kermit, Miss Piggy and the rest of the lovable team certainly is just as good as, and often an improvement on, the 2011 offering. show more

The inevitable sequel, arriving three years later, isn't as giddily entertaining as its predecessor but much of the charm remains, making this an ideal destination for a family excursion. show more

Quite entertaining film, and Gervais & Fey were really funny! Surprisingly, about 80% of the audience were adults and there was lots of laughter!
