If I recall correctly, Lloyd Bridges doesn't make it to the top of the mountain, but falls to his death. Is this film still in circulation ?
I enjoyed this film when it first came out - many years ago. The German hiker in it was Lloyd Bridges (WW II was on but not for these people climbing the mountain). That didn't mean there wasn't competion of the Germans against everyone else. Amazing how the pilot crashed at the same mountain he used to climb before the war - but that's fiction for you.
