DiCaprio's swaggering, swinging-dick performance is the wildest damn thing he's ever put onscreen. show more

It's rambunctious and unruly, but mesmerizing. show more

    Joe Morgenstern Wall Street Journal

Any meaningful perspective on the greedfest of the period is obscured by the gleefulness of the depiction. show more

    Steven Rea Philadelphia Inquirer

Been there, done that. As thrilling a filmmaker as Martin Scorsese continues to be, and as wild a performance as Leonardo DiCaprio dishes up as its morally bankrupt master of the universe, The Wolf of Wall Street seems almost entirely unnecessary. show more

Joe Neumaier New York Daily News

A delirious, manic, push-the-limits comedy of gaudy amorality that tests the audience’s taste. But it’s a gamble that works, since you leave this adrenaline trip wasted, but invigorated. show more

    Todd McCarthy The Hollywood Reporter

Nearly as extravagant as the characters it depicts, Martin Scorsese's comic, operatically-scaled film is, on a moment-by-moment basis, often madly entertaining due to its live-wire energy, exuberant performances and the irresistible appeal of watching naughty boys doing very naughty things. show more

    Rene Rodriguez Miami Herald

If it had been a drama, The Wolf of Wall Street might have been unwatchable: There’s simply too much of everything. But Scorsese and screenwriter Terence Winter (The Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire) hit on the genius idea to turn the story into a riotous comedy, one that keeps topping itself everytime you think it can’t possibly get crazier. show more

The Wolf of Wall Street joins "After Hours" as the most openly comedic films Scorsese has made. show more

Liam Lacey The Globe and Mail (Toronto)

What keeps the energy percolating is DiCaprio’s performance, in the loosest and most charismatic turn of his career. show more

A half hour too long...ha, gets me every time. During the movie, it is truly long, swearing every 2 seconds, sex, but not as often as you'd expect...the movie has an actual point tho. You're gunna have to watch the movie yourself to figure it out. Watching it with a parent is the best way to figure it out, tho. Just be mindful that the movie doesn't build, it's crazy the whole way through. there are laugh out loud parts, and scenes that can get immediatey out of hand. the next crazy film to watch, good fellows ;)

Trash movie...I was very disapponted in the sex, drugs, language. What a waste of my 3 hours and $5 on a Saturday night.

I can't remember watching a movie that was so repulsive almost from start to finish. When depicting depravity at this scale you can still leave something to the imagination...this movie doesn't. And, 3hours?!?!

Helluva movie. Leo makes any movie good and that's a good things because this movie would have sucked without him.

This movie should be rated X - the filthy language, sex, and drugs are too much for almost anyone to have to see. The storyline would have been just as good without all of that done in such detail. We only stayed to the end to see if Jordan would get his just do and that didn't really happen.
