  • Far from being exploitive, the effect is inspiring: This is the best of us. show more

  • There's just nothing artful about it, and it's Greengrass who deserves the credit. These nonactors don't act the way most people do when playing themselves. They act the way people do when they're being themselves. show more

  • Quite remarkably, though, its clear-eyed view of an unprecedented American tragedy leaves us with emotions that audiences of those earlier days would readily recognize -- love of country, bottomless grief, an appreciation of life's preciousness and fragility. A film that can do this and also teach is to be cherished. And seen. It's time. show more

I am absolutely furious that this man would assume that ANYONE in this country would think that it was even possible for such an occurence as 911 would happen to this country and that ANYONE is to blame? Maybe we were complacent, maybe a bit too comfortable, but you cannot tell me that anyone living in this country, including our FAA and Government would let this happen, on purpose? As much as I have an issue with how our country is run, I don't think that anyone with any type of hierachy would say "oh, let's cover our ass and not warn anyone". I don't know where you were when this horrific, murderous treatment of human beings were, I remember. I though it was a trailor for a movie or something out of the 60's where they tried to make you believe it was true. Not one of us ever thought our country, our USA, would be the recipient of such horrendous behavior. I'm sick about this incident, this is the first time I've seen this movie, I have my reasons.....
