The Ninth Wonder of the World has left us. Joanie Laurer, aka former WWF/WWE wrestling star Chyna, was found dead on April 20 at her home in the Los Angeles area. She was 45. No cause of death has been released at this point, just a message from her official Facebook page confirming her passing:
The iconic wrestler had victories against both men and women, breaking barriers in the field, before leaving the WWF in 2001. In addition to wrestling, Chyna modeled for Playboy; starred in porn films; had acting roles on shows like "3rd Rock From the Sun" and "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch"; and appeared on reality TV in "Fear Factor," "The Surreal Life," and "Celebrity Rehab."
#RIPChyna trended Thursday morning in honor of her death, with fans sharing their memories and condolences:
Someone who wasn't afraid to blaze her own trail & create a path for those who would follow. A pioneer whose star shined bright. #RIPChyna— Triple H (@TripleH) April 21, 2016
I can't believe one of my favorite wrestlers has passed away. She was my inspiration when I was little. This is heartbreaking #RIPChyna— Ashleigh (@heyimashleigh) April 21, 2016
