UPDATE 2: Zakiyah was evicted over Michelle on August 11. Things went wrong from there, in terms of the master plan for the live double eviction. In her talk with Julie Chen, Z left the door open for a relationship with Paulie. She doesn't see him the way
sane people most fans see him.
UPDATE 1: There have been some ch-ch-ch-ch-changes (thankfully) since the stuff below! Natalie has been gathering a team (herself, James, Bridgette, and -- surprise -- Paul) to save Michelle, then target Paulie in Thursday's double eviction, and it may just happen. On the other side, Paulie said he wanted to target Nicole in the DE. Paul went along with him at the time, so which side is Paul really on? It probably depends on who ends up the double eviction HoH. Corey and Nicole said they wanted to target Paul, so now would be a good time for Paul to switch sides. Get the updates.
It's Week 7 of "Big Brother 18" and the Head of Household is Victor Arroyo, who has learned nothing since the last time he was evicted. He nominated the two people who voted to keep Da'Vonne Rogers -- Zakiyah Everette and Michelle Meyer -- basically because Paulie Calafiore has used them up and he's ready to spit them out.
HoH Victor and "your boy" Paul Abrahamian want Zakiyah out, but Paulie is pushing for Michelle to leave. He may realize there's almost nothing he can do that Zakiyah won't put up with, so why not string Zaulie along for a few more votes? Nicole Franzel and Corey Brooks, aka the Nicorey showmance, also want to keep Z because as long as Zaulie is around, Nicorey isn't the biggest showmance target. But we'll see.
On Saturday, after about 7.5 hours of playing time, Paulie won the Power of Veto.
This guy just keeps winning and winning, running the HoH every week even when he's not HoH. But will anyone target him? Sigh. We'll see Paulie's win -- the hide-the-POV in the now trashed house comp -- on Wednesday, August 10. Right after his win, the told Paul and Nicole that he planned to keep the nominations the same.
So ... goodbye, Meech?
Also, James Huling was revealed to get the second care package. They'll show that Sunday, but the package arrived on Friday.
America must love the Jatalie showmance, since Natalie Negrotti got the first one. This package is more strategic -- the ability to cancel two votes.
During the live show, Julie will ask James to stand and reveal which two houseguests he would like to prevent from voting #BB18— Big Brother Updates (@BB_Updates) August 5, 2016
James has been able to lay low up to this point, just sticking with "the house," so this will force him to show his cards. Will he back "the house's" plan or use this opportunity to go rogue, just before the Thursday, August 11 double eviction? It may actually be a wasted twist this week, since most of "the house" seems fine with voting out the not-exactly-threatening Team Zeech. Even if James wanted to do something, he may not have the votes. Or the motivation. Why stick his neck out for people who are mad at him for betraying Day?
James dropped out of this week's HoH comp pretty quickly, leaving many fans to think he wanted to keep himself free to play in the double eviction where -- traditionally -- big moves are made because they can be made quickly and there's nothing the target can do about it. Is James hoping to get the double HoH and target Paulie, or is that just what many fans would want him to do?Zakiyah and Michelle didn't seem to be targeting Victor going into this week. They wanted Bridgette Dunning out last week, and after the Day eviction they were mad at James and Nicole or not voting with them. But even though Paul Abrahamian was last week's HoH, Zeech don't feel betrayed by him. For whatever reason, they believe his lie that he had no idea the house would vote out Da'Vonne. Of course he knew. They also seemed to believe Paul Thursday night when he said he wasn't sure who Victor was going to put up. Of course he knew. It was his and Paulie's Team PP suggestion. Paulie also told Z he wasn't sure what would happen, completely throwing Victor under that bus. Z and Meech did feel betrayed by Paulie after the Day vote. But Z is still sleeping with the enemy, whether for strategic reasons or just because she's much too into him.
This is (drunk) Z before Day's eviction:
So, for now, we have another week where one of Paulie's pet rocks does his dirty work for him.
