Hollywood movie stars, take heed! If you ever find yourself making bet with Leonardo DiCaprio, consider wagering something less permanent than a tattoo.
DiCaprio's "The Revenant" co-star Tom Hardy has found himself in the position of getting a pretty embarrassing tattoo after losing their bet. As he told Esquire UK, DiCaprio bet Hardy that he would receive an Academy Award nomination for his role in "The Revenant." Hardy, ever so humble and apparently a risk-taker, disagreed and bet on a tattoo of the winner's choosing.
Well, Hardy did get nominated as Best Supporting Actor, losing out eventually to "Bridge of Spies" star Mark Rylance. And, perhaps worse, he lost the bet. And guess what DiCaprio dictated as the tattoo?
"He wrote, in this really sh---y handwriting: 'Leo knows everything.' Ha! I was like, 'OK, I'll get it done, but you have to write it properly,'" Hardy recalled.
Leo might soon be breathing down his neck, since Hardy has yet to fulfill the terms of the bet.
As he said, "I haven't got it yet, because it sucks."
