No, "American Horror Story: Cult" isn't about Beyoncé's loyal Beyhive, but the hive mind/groupthink mentality is definitely in focus in the show's official poster.

So far, the "Cult" teasers have focused on clowns and rituals, but there's always been a beehive element in play, from Ryan Murphy's final title clue to the AHS: Cult logo. And now there's this:

Season 7 will take place in Michigan shortly after the 2016 election results. Ryan Murphy said Evan Peters will have his "heaviest season yet" playing a character named Kai, with Sarah Paulson playing Ally, in their "love story for the ages." So far, the rest of the cast includes Billie Lourd, Billy Eichner, Cheyenne Jackson, Colton Haynes, Alison Pill, Mare Winningham, Frances Conroy, and Adina Howard. Lena Dunham will reportedly appear in one episode.

Ryan Murphy addressed the themes of "Cult" back in February in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter:

THR: You've been at the forefront of progressive TV with respect to gay storylines and now pushing for more women and minorities on- and offscreen. What do you see as your top responsibility to the culture during a Trump presidency?

Ryan Murphy: Well, one is to write about the divisiveness. American Horror Story is going to be about the election that we just went through. And what I'm interested in doing is not just the obvious, single-minded point of view but rather express all sides of that equation. What needs to happen in our country now is for people to listen to each other – we may not always agree with each other and we may be horrified by what the other side is doing but we have to move toward understanding. So that's one example of what I'm going to do. And then all of the stuff that I'm developing now is going to be about illuminating and highlighting people who don't have a voice in our culture -- people who are ignored by the current administration and who are afraid and feel terrorized that their lives are going to be taken away. I'm interested not just in writing about those people but also in using my financial means to give back to them as well.

"AHS: Cult" will premiere September 5 at 10 p.m. on FX.
