It's too early to predict who will bring home the mirror ball trophy on "Dancing With the Stars" this season, but win or lose, Sasha Pieterse has gained something special.

The "Pretty Little Liars" alum opened up about her health during Monday's episode, including how losing 15-plus pounds on the show has helped her.

"I'm feeling like me again," Pieterse said, according to People. "Being on the show, I've lost over 15 pounds. It's not an easy road, but being able to focus on getting myself healthy again, and the fact that I'm seeing results, getting better is all I can ask for."

Pieterse, who suffers from polycystic ovary syndrome, has struggled with her weight in recent years, and sadly, people haven't always been understanding. She discussed the harsh criticism she faced with host Erin Andrews, admitting that people's negative reactions were "really hurtful."

"They were angry or mad that I looked like this," she said of her critics. "It was one of the hardest things I have ever been through."

Fortunately, the actress is having a much better experience on "DWTS." She celebrated the beauty of women -- no matter their shape or size -- by dancing to Hailee Steinfeld's "Most Girls" and got positive responses from the show's judges and fans alike.

Afterward, still riding high, Pieterse posted a photo with her dance partner, Gleb Savchenko, and called the night "a dream."

"Dancing With the Stars" airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
