The long-rumored "Coming to America" sequel is a step closer to happening: Deadline reports that Jonathan Levine ("50/50," "The Night Before") will direct.

"Black-ish" creator Kenya Barris will be reworking a script by Barry Blaustein and David Sheffield, who wrote the original 1988 film.

Eddie Murphy is expected to reprise his role of Prince Akeem, but, according to Deadline, "nothing's been finalized." No word on whether we can expect other original cast members, including Arsenio Hall, to return for the sequel.

John Landis, who also gave us such great '80s hits as "Trading Places" and "The Blues Brothers" directed the original film.
