"The Tonight Show" game, but maybe bad accents should be bleeped, too?

The 2018 awards season is under-way, and recent Golden Globe winner Saoirse Ronan ("Lady Bird") joined nominee Timothée Chalamet ("Call Me By Your Name") in a "Tonight Show" appearance Wednesday night. Both talked to Jimmy Fallon separately, and then competed against each other in one of the late show's favorite games, "Catchphrase."

Fallon and Ronan were teammates, and Chalamet was paired with The Roots' Tarik Trotter. Chalamet is lucky Trotter could understand his vague hints, and the young actor had to be bleeped toward the end.

Toward the middle of the video, around the 2 minute mark, the Irish actress shut down Fallon for his leprechaun-bad attempt to match her voice.

Saoirse Ronan, whispering: "Jimmy. Jimmy. Don't do the accent."

Yeah, a lot of people don't really appreciate when you mock the sound of their accents. You may think you're being cute and funny, but you're not. (That was one of the viewer complaints about Ronan's Irish spoof on "SNL.")

Anyway, it was a fun game of "Catchphrase." Watch and see who won:Here are some other videos from both stars' talks:It's very likely we'll see both Saoirse Ronan and Timothée Chalamet on the list of Academy Award nominations when that list comes out January 23. The Oscars air March 4.
