Angelina Jolie is about to become a superhero.

The actress is in talks to star in Marvel's "The Eternals," a superhero team-up that will be directed by Chloe Zhao ("The Rider"), according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"The Eternals," based on Jack Kirby's comic book, follows superpowered, near-immortal beings. Thanos, the villain from "Avengers: Infinity War" and the upcoming "Endgame," is an Eternal. The Eternals were tasked with protecting Earth from the evil group called Deviants.

THR reports that the movie will include the love story between Ikaris, a man fueled by cosmic energy, and Sersi, who relishes moving amongst humans. Jolie's role is unknown.

This is Jolie's first superhero movie, though not her first comic book film. She previously starred in 2008's "Wanted."

Jolie can next be seen in "Maleficent: Mistress of Evil" this fall.
