We're just days away from the opening of "The Lion King," but you can get your "Hakuna Matata" fix early.
Disney has released a new featurette that shows stars Donald Glover (Simba), Billy Eichner (Timon), and Seth Rogen (Pumbaa) sharing what went into their version of the beloved song "Hakuna Matata." Rogen explained that they got to "reinvent" the movie's songs -- to a point. He likened it to singing the National Anthem; apparently, you don't want to get too out there because everyone knows and loves the original so much.
The trio clearly had fun together. The featurette shows them in the recording studio, and there were a lot of laughs. Better still, from what we've heard so far, they seem to have done the song justice. See for yourself below:
"The Lion King" also stars Beyoncé, Chiwetel Ejiofor, John Oliver, Keegan-Michael Key, and James Earl Jones. The Jon Favreau-directed film hits theaters on Friday, July 19.
