Christopher Murray Biography
Christopher Murray was born in 1985 in Santiago. Director of the feature film "Manuel de Ribera" released at the Rotterdam Film Festival 2010 and winner of the award for "Best National Film" at SANFIC 2010. He is co-founder of the documentary project "MAFI - Mapa Fílmico de un País" (www.mafi.tv), premiered internationally at IDFA 2012. General Director of the collective documentaries "Propaganda" (2014) and "God" (2019) both premiered and awarded at the Visions du Réel festival.
He is the director and scriptwriter of the feature film "The Blind Christ" with which he competed for the Golden Lion in the Official Competition of the Venice Film Festival 2016 and winner of the International Critics' Award (FIPRESCI) at FICCI 2017. He is also the creator and head of the program of the new Diploma in Anthropology and Audiovisual Creation at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
